More and more spinal disorders require of taking över some of the spine functions by a variety of spfnal im-plant sets and fİxation devices. Beside deformations and trauma affections for which many variable instrumenta-tion İn the treatment from the posterior approach are available, stili the new groups of oncological and infection diseases require of supporting the spinal functioning from the anterior surgical approach.

Apart from performing of the stabilization function the instrumentation should comply with prosthetic and cor-rective requirements. Both of these functions are futfilled by the Universai System DERO where the instrumentation for the anterior and posterior surgical approach are mutually compatible. Very effective at spine correcting and stabilization is the compressive-distraction DisCom plate, which shortens significantiy surgical procedure and pro-vides the solid spine stabilization from the anterior approach at the appropriate bone structure.
